Turtle Hatchieries
Out of the seven species of marine turtles, five comes ashore to nest in Sri Lanka . The turtle Watch programme is a nature tourism initiative developed by the TCP (Turtle Conservation Project). Rekawa and Kosgoda are of Sri Lanka’s most important marine turtle nesting places, in Rekawa all 5 species come to nest throughout the year.
